Pack and toss

Poland No Comments »

Pack and toss…  That’s become a bit of a mantra for us.

After we got our paperwork filed for Power of Attorney and DBA today at the town hall where our permanent address will be, we came back to the house and got to work.

Ideally, I was going to work on my Mestek stuff again to get up to 10 or more hours.  But not long after I got back, I got locked out from the database, so I wasn’t able to do any work.  So I went to work, helping organize our remaining belongings by throwing out stuff we packed, but shouldn’t have, and by weighing and repacking suitcases.

Holy crap…  Trying to pack all of your belongings into two bags that can’t be more than 50 pounds each is not easy.  And when your carry-on is limited to 13 pounds, it’s even harder still!

But, after much fussing and shuffling, we were able to get the majority of our bags packed, and two full bins of trash moved out to the car.

We also got our phones cancelled, and tested the Vonage line (works GREAT – for those who don’t know, using Vonage we have a local Massachusetts number, but we can take it with us wherever we go, since it runs over broadband).

All in all it was a pretty productive day, but now that my connection is working again, I’ve got to get back to my work.
